The Halls is proud to support a range of brilliant local arts groups.
Applause Youth Theatre Company
Our resident youth theatre company AYTCO aim to provide children and young people (aged 8 to 18 years old) with the opportunity to participate in performances on stage and to access coaching in drama and musical theatre skills.
They are a fantastic way for young people to build their self-confidence and communication skills in a friendly and sociable environment. They are happy to offer all prospective recruits the opportunity to come along for a free trial ‘discovery’ session – no audition is required.
AYTCO meet at Dorking Halls every Sunday to rehearse various productions. They have been running since January 2005, and have produced a string of colourful musicals performed on the stage of the Grand Hall, and a succession of imaginative drama productions which have brought awards and nominations at various competitive drama festivals around the region, including Leatherhead and Woking.

Dorking Dramatic and Operatic Society
Based in the intimate 85-seat Green Room Theatre, tucked away behind the Halls, the group performs plays and musicals throughout the year.
Leith Hill Musical Festival
Held annually in Dorking since 1905, this has grown into one of the country’s leading choral events.
Arts Alive Festival
Arts Alive runs annually from September to November. It features dance, music, drama, arts, crafts, poetry, comedy, pumpkins and much more!
