The Green Room Theatre is a beautiful theatre nestled behind Dorking Halls and home to the award winning Dorking Dramatic and Operatic Society. DDOS is an amateur dramatic society best known for their excellent annual programme of plays and musicals in The Green Room Theatre as well as a bi-annual large scale musical in The Grand Hall at Dorking Halls.

Whilst we can all remember times when work may have been a bleak place, every day can be littered with the experiences of work colleagues sharing the joy that comes from being in the company of people that you grow to support, respect & face the trials of everyday working life with, and with whom we occasionally share snippets of ourselves.
Many of our life long memories are centred around these times. To some of us, these experiences are precious because they are few.
They can be found in the most unlikely places. Like the unassuming little team at Bailey Street Public Convenience. Their story, like most others, may never figure in the big scheme of things but to them, for one moment, as far as they were concerned, they lived ‘the best of times and the worst of times’ together.
So, come and be part of their story, the story of Bailey Street Public Toilets.

The Suttoners Present – Dracula: A Comedy With Bite!

Transylvania 1893, when Lucy falls prey to a mysterious illness can Professor Van Helsing convince our heroes that vampires exist – and can they stop Count Dracula from spreading his curse to England?
Loosely based on Bram Stoker’s horror classic, expect spooky surprises and silly jokes as The Suttoners bring their irreverent take on the Dracula legend to Dorking! You’d be batty to miss it!
This is a new 90-minute stage adaptation of the Dracula legend, drawing on Bram Stoker’s book and, in particular, Hammer Films gothic classics.

DDOS Present: Titanic The Musical

This amateur production is presented by DDOS, who recently brought you Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat to great acclaim.
Based on real people aboard the most legendary ship in the world, Titanic The Musical is a stunning and stirring production focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of her passengers who each boarded with stories and personal ambitions of their own. All innocently unaware of the fate awaiting them, the Third Class immigrants dream of a better life in America, the Second Class imagine they too can join the lifestyles of the rich and famous, whilst the millionaire Barons of the First Class anticipate legacies lasting forever.
The original Broadway production of Titanic The Musical won five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book.
This Amatuer production of Titanic is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd on behalf of Tamswitmark LLC.

Improvisation For Grown Ups
Each course explores various aspects of improvisation through individual and group input. Our emphasis is on staying safe and having fun! Suitable for the complete beginner and the experienced thespian looking to improve their craft.
